Stations of the Cross
Good Friday Outdoor Service
Facilitated by the Staff of Bethany Retreat Center
Friday, April 15, 2022
Join us for a special time of prayer and reflection. The Stations of the Cross are a Christian devotion which commemorates the Passion and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “Stations” comes from the Latin word that means to stand. “Of the Cross” refers to the events that surrounded Jesus’ crucifixion on a cross on Calvary. Each of the 14 stations represents an event which occurred during Jesus’ passion and death at Calvary on Good Friday.
Join us at Bethany Retreat Center on Good Friday to walk the Stations of the Cross as you prepare your heart and mind for the celebration of Easter Sunday. This will be an outdoor event where we will gather outside the Prayer Center then walk together to the Stations of the Cross. There will be prayer and reading at each station, culminating at the top of the hill with the Resurrection Cross.
There is no charge for this event, but please register so that we can properly prepare for this event.
*A freewill offering will be received.
Light refreshments will be served in Bethany Dining Room following the sacred walk.
Offering: A freewill offering will be received.
Arrival: Please check in between 9:00 and 9:20 am. The Walk will begin promptly at 9:30
