Originally from the Netherlands, Jet Schneider received her MA as a German teacher and translator from the University of Leiden. She has taught German, Dutch and ESL and did translation work in the Netherlands as well as in the United States. In later years Schneider completed her training in spiritual direction. Currently she has a small practice for contemplative spiritual direction in the State College area. Creativity, art, spirituality and nature have been lifelong passions. Schneider likes to focus on what connects people with each other and the natural world. She strives to embody this in her work. She has written and illustrated three books, “Nellie’s Dream” (2019), “Deer Song” (2020), and “Angels in my Brush” (2021). Her books and art cards are available in the Bethany gift store.
