Bethany Adult Retreat/Event Coordinator
Objective: To work collaboratively with administrators, staff, and stakeholders of Anawim Ministries to provide organization, oversight, and development of the Adult Retreat Program and Fundraising Events
Duties as assigned:
- Build relationships with retreat facilitators to schedule, organize, and promote retreats
- Work with the general public to answer questions, address specific needs, and gather other pertinent information related to our programs
- Provide the maintenance staff with information/instruction for set up of physical spaces
- Periodically review fee schedule to ensure that it is accurate and set fees for upcoming retreats as needed
- Meet regularly with retreat team to share information regarding upcoming retreats and debrief regarding retreats that have occurred
- Work collaboratively with our other missions regarding special projects, such as attending meetings and community outreach events
- Meet regularly with the Executive Director and Marketing Executive to provide information related to attendance and promotion of retreats and events/fundraising
- Recruit outside presenters to facilitate new retreats in order to fill the schedule
- Provide outreach to other organizations, churches, and businesses to increase use of our meeting spaces during non-retreat days
- Participate in the planning and coordination of fundraising events and activities
Qualifications:
- Education or experience in event planning, fundraising
- Attention to detail
- Outgoing and social personality
- Familiarity with faith based and/or non-profit organizations
- Experience with various computer programs, including Excel, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva and/or Publisher
- Working knowledge of social media applications for marketing purposes
This position will report directly to the Executive Director. This is a full-time position that may include other duties as not described above. This position will be on-site at our facility in Frenchville, PA and other community locations.

Summer Youth Program Staff

Young People Who Care is looking to hire 6 summer staff members for a 12-week period (May 22 to August 6) to mentor and lead various groups of Catholic and Christian teens as they complete social justice service projects in rural Appalachia. Applicants should be passionate about social justice, willing and able to complete physical labor and excited about working with diverse groups of children!
